CaloMetrik is designed to help people understand general wellness estimates using the information they choose to provide. This policy describes the categories of information the app uses and why.

Information you provide

CaloMetrik may process account information, onboarding answers, profile measurements, nutrition goals, meal entries, saved foods, workouts, weight check-ins, notification preferences, and settings that you enter in the app.

Apple Health

CaloMetrik requests Apple Health access only after you choose to connect it. The app may read steps, walking and running distance, active energy, dietary energy, protein, carbohydrates, fat, and body weight that you authorize.

This information is used to display daily movement, calculate your requested deficit dashboard, and display weight trends. The dashboard combines a profile-based resting-energy estimate with Apple Health active energy. When a CaloMetrik workout may already be included in Apple active energy, the app avoids adding the activity twice.

CaloMetrik does not sell Health data, use it for advertising, or share it with data brokers. You can change or revoke Health permissions at any time in the Apple Health app.

How synced data is stored

Imported activity and nutrition information is reduced to daily totals rather than individual routes, raw workouts, or HealthKit food records. Synced daily totals, meal entries, and weight check-ins may be stored in your private account using Supabase and protected with row-level security. Some preferences and prompt history remain on your device.

Widgets

When you enable a CaloMetrik home-screen widget, the latest daily calorie totals and deficit target are copied into CaloMetrik’s private iOS App Group. That widget data remains on the device and is available only to the CaloMetrik app and widget extension. iOS controls the exact widget refresh schedule.

Barcode scanning and food search

When you scan a barcode, the barcode number is sent through CaloMetrik’s protected backend to nutrition-data providers. CaloMetrik checks FatSecret Premier first, USDA FoodData Central when needed, and Open Food Facts as an additional fallback. The camera preview is processed on the device and is not uploaded for barcode recognition.

When you type a food search, the search words are sent through the protected backend so matching generic and branded foods can be returned. Provider credentials stay on the backend. You review the serving and nutrition values before saving them.

Meal and workout photos

If you choose photo analysis, a compressed image may be sent to the configured analysis provider to return an estimate. CaloMetrik asks you to review and edit the result before saving. Photos are not required for manual food or workout logging.

Body-reference photos

If you explicitly approve a body-reference estimate, a compressed copy may be processed once to return a rough wellness range. The photo is not stored in CaloMetrik cloud storage; only the resulting range and confidence information may sync. A device-local reference can be removed from the app.

Service providers

CaloMetrik uses service providers only as needed to operate app features. These include Supabase for account and data infrastructure; OpenAI for user-requested meal, workout-display, and body-reference image analysis; FatSecret, USDA FoodData Central, and Open Food Facts for food records; and RevenueCat for subscription status and purchase management. Their handling of information is also governed by their applicable terms and policies.

Subscriptions

Apple processes App Store payments. RevenueCat receives a CaloMetrik account identifier, account email and display name, App Store product and transaction information, subscription status, and purchase or expiration dates so CaloMetrik can unlock Premium access, restore purchases, and provide subscription support. RevenueCat does not receive your Apple Health records, meal photos, body-reference photos, or workout-display photos through the subscription integration. CaloMetrik disables RevenueCat advertising-identifier collection and SDK diagnostics.

Account deletion

You can permanently delete your account inside CaloMetrik under Settings → Account → Delete account. Deletion removes your CaloMetrik profile, synced workouts, meals, nutrition totals, weight history, photos, preferences, reminders, and other account data from CaloMetrik’s systems, except records that must be retained for security, fraud prevention, legal, or financial obligations. Device-local CaloMetrik data is also cleared.

Deleting a CaloMetrik account does not cancel an Apple subscription. The deletion screen provides a link to Apple’s subscription-management controls so you can cancel before deleting your account if you do not want the subscription to renew.

Data choices

• You can use manual logging without connecting Apple Health.
• You can revoke Health permissions in iPhone settings.
• You can disable notifications in CaloMetrik or iPhone settings.
• You can remove individual meal, workout, weight, saved-food, and body-reference information from the app.
• You can permanently delete your complete CaloMetrik account and associated app data from Settings.

Children and wellness scope

CaloMetrik provides general wellness estimates, not medical advice, diagnosis, or nutrition treatment. Calorie-deficit planning is not provided to users identified as under 18 in the app.

Policy changes

This policy may be updated as the product changes. The date at the top will be revised when material updates are published.
